Dr. Spiering, a native San Diegan, received his medical degree
in internal medicine in 1995 from the prestigious Georgetown University
Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at Scripps
Clinic and Research Foundation. He received his B.S. in Biology
from UCSD, graduating Cum Laude. Prior to coming to Personal Physicians,
he practiced at St. Vincent de Paul Center's medical clinic. Dr.
Spiering is affiliated with both Grossmont Hospital, Alvarado Hospital,
and Scripps East County. He is an active member of the San Diego
County Medical Society. He works closely with Dr. Neil Hirschenbein
in both a managed and private care setting. He resides in San Diego
with his wife and five sons.

Dr. Catherine
Maywood has practiced in the Fast County since 1995. She and
her husband Michael, also a physician, reside in La Jolla with their
son. Dr. Maywood received her medical degree from the State University
of New York, Health Science Center, at Brooklyn, where she graduated
cum laude. She completed her internship and residency in internal
medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York. She completed
her fellowship in infectious disease at the University of California,
Irvine Medical Center in 1994. She is a Diplomat, American Board
of Internal Medicine; and Diplomat, Subspecialty Board of Infectious
Disease.

Dr. Robert
Johnson received his medical degree from the University of Illinois
and completed his residency in general practice at the University
of Colorado. He has more than 30 years of experience as a family
practice physician, most of which was obtained in San Diego's East
County. Previously, he served as director of the Family Medical
Center, UCSD, Family Practice Residency. Dr. Johnson is a member
of the California Medical Association and the San Diego County Medical
Society. In addition, he is a charter fellow of the American Academy
of Family Physicians.

Dr. Ronald
Converse has been in associate of Dr. Hirschenbein for five
years and has practiced medicine in the San Carlos area for 15 years.
Dr. Converse received his medical degree from the University of
San Francisco, where he was Chapter President, Student American
Medical association. He completed his internship and residency at
the U.S. Naval Hospital, San Diego. Dr. Converse is board certified
in family practice. He also attended the University of San Diego
School of Iaw, where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 1976.
He is a member of the San Diego County Medical Society and the American
Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Converse and his wife, Alice,
reside in the San Carlos area. They have three children.
